PROJECT LAUNCH EVENTS

The implemented activity included the official launch of the Erasmus+ project at the High School of Mathematics “Paisius of Hilendar.” During a meeting the purpose, objectives and scope of the project were defined:

  • Each school announces the acceptance of the project to all students and parents on the school website and on the school board;
  • A grant agreement is signed between the coordinator institution and partner institutions;
  • Each school determines its own selection criteria. Accepts project participants;
  • Preparation of videos and presentations introducing cities, countries and schools;
  • Preparation of games for the promotion of countries;
  • Preparation of the project logo and selection of the project logo using the Tricider voting tool;
  • Project website: E-twinning project, project social media accounts (youtube channel, facebook page, instagram channel).

Later on, another meeting was organized, for students to introduce themselves, partner schools to make presentations introducing their schools, cities and countries. At the end of the presentation, each partner prepared and shared a game about their country.

This activity helped promote the project and connect the partners. The significance of the meetings was as follows:

  • This project will be an example in the implementation of other Erasmus+ programs in our schools;
  • Teachers and youth will become more aware of the importance of participating in EU projects;
  • For a project to succeed, collaboration amongst multinational entities is essential. Effective project management guarantees that stakeholders and partner institutions get the most out of project outcomes. Proper project planning improves the project’s sustainability and the effective allocation of resources to be employed during the project.

The results from the “Project Launch Event” activity were:

  • Created a detailed project plan that includes schedule, budget, and resource allocation;
  • A breakdown of all activities into smaller, manageable tasks that will be worked during the whole project;
  • Increased knowledge about all kinds of Erasmus+ projects;
  • Chosen project logo. Created workplace on the E-twinning website and social media accounts. Prepared project banner, poster, and roll up;
  • Created various materials (videos, presentations, games) for the promotion of each of the partners—Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania; for each of the schools, cities and countries.
