EUROPEAN LANGUAGE DAY

Activities:

  • Quizzes, presentation and Kahoots that each of the partners organized for its students.
  • Flashcards with the different languages that had been shared among all the students.
  • A padlet where each student posted a favorite quote from an author or a poet in both their language and in English.
  • Using AI, a song that talks about friendship and has one verse in English, Bulgarian, Romanian, and Hungarian: Erasmus song (European language day)

Relevance of the activity:

  • Increasing interest in learning foreign languages through various events and activities.
  • Increased interest on causes like the European Language Day.
  • Raising public awareness about the importance of language learning and intercultural understanding.
  • Promoting Europe’s linguistic and cultural richness, protecting and nurturing it.
  • Encouraging lifelong language learning for school, professional needs, study, leisure, and travel.
  • Providing opportunities to share and learn different traditions and languages, and strengthening cultural ties.
