în the period 17-21 of March, 2025, the activities in Sofia within the Erasmus+ KA210-SCH project Qualified education with innovative teaching methods in school (2023-2-BG01-KA210-SCH-000184736) started.
Students and teachers from all partner organizations participate in the activities: Profesionalna gimnaziya po ikonomika “Aleko Konstantinov” (Kardzhali, Bulgaria), Asociația Clubul de Științe GEEA (Tecuci, Romania), Táncsics Mihály Gimnázium (Kaposvár, Hungary) and High School of Mathematics “Paisius of Hilendar” (Sofia, Bulgaria).
The first day was dedicated to interaction between participants. The program was as follows:
Meeting – Ice breaking activities, tour of the school building.
The presentation of each partner organisation.
Sightseeing to get to know the main landmarks of the city
The second day included numerous icebreaker activities, workshops that stimulated the students’ creativity. The division into mixed groups generated the development of English communication skills and the strengthening of social relationships between the participants.
The program was as follows:
“Fibonacci Secrets”: What is the Fibonacci sequence? Where is the Fibonacci sequence used? What is the relationship between the Fibonacci number sequence and the golden ratio? Who is Fibonacci? “Fibonacci Sequence” examples in nature.
From Pythagoras to art: Art from geometric shapes; Origami exercises using the Pythagorean Theorem
The third day of LTT Sofia was extremely intense.
In addition to the usual icebreaker moments, the students were challenged to show off their knowledge in mathematics, developed their logical thinking skills, demonstrated that they have good practical skills, both in assembling birdhouses and in field orientation. At the end, an interesting painting workshop was held, where artistic-creative skills were tested.

“Smart Bird House” Stem project: Determination of the Project Team – Determination of Project Objectives – Preparation of the Project Plan;
The Treasure Hunt: Sightseeing to get to know the main landmarks of the city;
Painting workshop;
The fourth day of our adventure in Sofia took place on mountain trails: investigating the environment near Sofia, the students demonstrated real practical orientation skills on Mount Vitosha.
The last day of LTT Sofia was a special one: the participants had the opportunity to interact for the last time, they held a teambuilding workshop; the students of the host team made a short film of all the activities carried out this week, they made a short review of all the project activities, a brainstorming session followed in which everyone was free to express their opinion and make proposals.
In the second part of the day, the evaluation survey for the entire LTT in Sofia was completed, each participant said a few words, and at the end the certificates of participation were handed out.
An intense week, dedicated to learning, applying, testing; a week in which we learned to be tolerant, to be understanding, to communicate better!
